Spot trading fees on Xoibit

Last updated:

Each spot pair has a maker fee and a taker fee, set by Xoibit and shown on the pair's trading page. The fee is a percentage of your trade and is taken from what you receive.

Where can I see the fee for a pair?

Open the pair on the trading page. The maker and taker fee for that pair is shown there before you place an order. Fees can be different from pair to pair.

Maker or taker: which fee do I pay?

  • Maker: your order adds liquidity to the order book, for example a limit order that waits and is filled later.
  • Taker: your order fills an order that is already in the book, for example a market order or a limit order priced to fill at once.

Read maker vs taker for examples.

Which coin is the fee taken from?

  • When you buy, the fee is taken from the coin you receive. Buy BTC with USDT and the fee is in BTC.
  • When you sell, the fee is taken from the quote coin you receive. Sell BTC for USDT and the fee is in USDT.

Example

You buy 1 BTC with a limit order that fills straight away. That is a taker trade, so the taker fee for the pair is taken from the 1 BTC, and you receive 1 BTC minus the fee.

Where can I see the fees I paid?

Your trade history lists each fill with its price, amount and fee.

Are there other fees?

Cancelling an order does not create a trade. Deposits, withdrawals, Convert and Buy crypto have their own fees, shown on those pages. See withdrawal fees.

Fees are set by Xoibit and can change. Always check the trading page for the current fee of the pair.

FAQ

Why did I receive slightly less than I bought?

When you buy, the fee is taken from the coin you receive.

Is there a token that lowers my fees?

No. Fees are set per pair and shown on the trading page.
