Convert market vs limit: which one should I use?

Use market when you want to swap now at the current rate. Use limit when you only want to swap at a rate you choose and are happy to wait.

What is a market convert?

With a market convert you get a live quote that refreshes every few seconds and is valid for 30 seconds. If you accept it in time, the conversion happens at that quoted rate. The quote shows the fee and the exact amount you receive.

• Good for: converting right away, small amounts, when the price matters less than speed.
• You know the exact result before you confirm.

What is a limit convert?

With a limit convert you set the rate you want and the number of days the order stays open. It converts only if the market reaches your rate within that time. You can cancel it while it is open.

• Good for: waiting for a better rate without watching the market.
• It may never fill if the market does not reach your rate before it expires.

How do I cancel a limit convert?

Find the open order in your convert orders and cancel it. Completed and cancelled conversions are listed in Convert history.

While a limit convert is open, the amount you are converting is reserved and cannot be used elsewhere.
