Why was my KYC rejected?
Last updated:
KYC is usually rejected because a photo is unclear, the document is expired or not accepted, or your details do not match the document. Open Identification to see the reason, fix it and submit again.
Where can I see the reason?
When a level fails, its status shows Failed on the Identification page together with the reason from the review. Read it before you submit again, so the same problem does not repeat.
Common reasons for ID verification
- The photo is blurry, too dark, cropped or has glare over the text.
- The document is expired or is not one of the accepted types.
- Only one side was uploaded when the document needs front and back.
- Your name or date of birth does not match the document.
- The selfie is unclear, or your face does not clearly match the ID photo.
- The document has been edited, is a screenshot or a photo of a screen.
Common reasons for address verification
- The document does not show your full name and address.
- The name is different from the name on your verified ID.
- The document is too old, or is not one of the accepted types (utility bill, bank statement, internet bill, tax statement, mortgage statement or landline bill).
- Part of the page is missing or unreadable.
How do I resubmit?
- Open Identification and read the reason on the failed level.
- Prepare a valid document and take new, clear photos in good light.
- Check that your personal details match the document exactly.
- Submit again and wait for the new review.
Only upload your own documents. Using someone else's ID, or an edited document, will be rejected and can lead to restrictions on your account.
