What happens if my deposit is below the minimum?
Last updated:
A deposit below the minimum deposit amount is not credited to your balance. The minimum is set per coin and shown on the deposit page, so always send at least that amount.
Where can I see the minimum deposit?
Open Deposit crypto and choose the coin and network. The minimum deposit is shown on the page, together with your deposit address and the confirmations needed.
Why is there a minimum?
Each coin has a minimum so that very small amounts, which cost more to process than they are worth, are not handled as deposits. The amount is set by the exchange for each coin and can change, so check the page each time.
Does the sender's fee count?
Yes. What matters is the amount that actually arrives at your address. Many platforms take their withdrawal fee from the amount you enter, so the amount received can be lower. Send enough that the amount arriving is at or above the minimum.
A deposit below the minimum is not credited, even if it is confirmed on the blockchain. Check the minimum before every deposit.
I already sent less than the minimum. What can I do?
The amount is not added to your balance automatically. If you believe the deposit should have been credited, for example because it was above the minimum shown, report it in Wallet issues with the TxID, coin, network, amount and destination address. See How to report a wallet issue.
Tips
- Check the minimum for the exact coin and network you are using.
- Add the sender's fee on top so the amount received is above the minimum.
- If you send a test amount first, make sure the test is also above the minimum.
Preguntas frecuentes
If I send a second small deposit, will they be added together?
Do not rely on that. Make each deposit at least the minimum shown on the deposit page.
Is the minimum the same for every coin?
No. It is set per coin and shown on the deposit page.
